Is Haiti the next tourist destination?




In the middle of the chain of islands composing the West Indies, lies one of large size, it was discovered by Columbus on the 6th of December 1492 and was called: Hispaniola or little Spain. 
However the name was dropped and now the island bears the name of Hayti, as called by the original inhabitants, which means: mountainous. 
Haiti is not only one of the largest but also one of the most beautiful and productive islands in the West Indies. 

It presents great diversity of scenery, lofty mountains, spectacular waterfalls, secret caves, deep valleys and extensive plains clothed with the luxuriant vegetation of a tropical climate.
All of this makes Haiti an ideal place for hiking, trekking and mountain climbing.

How intriguing is Haiti?  This western Caribbean island is set to become one of the most popular tourist destinations. Haiti has a fascinating history; it became independence in 1804.
It was founded as the direct result of a slave revolt, and is the only county in the world to have done so. 




If you like history, culture, adventure Haiti is the next place to visit. The vibrant African, French and Spanish influence is visible in all aspect of Haitian life, art, music and dance. 



Haitian literature is well known throughout the world. It has its origin in the country independence and it goes hand in hand with the daily political life.
