Home Vacation
For our home vacation, we travelled to three stunning locations.
Our first destination: Torqay on the English Riviera.
With its palm trees, busy harbor, we felt like being in South of France.
Torqay is the home of Agatha Christie and the town is celebrating her life
with many plays.

Our second destination: Bath. After a cup of tea, we wondered for few
hours in the city. Its natural hot springs and 18th-century Georgian architecture
attract many people. Bath Abbey with its "ladders of Angels" is impressive!
The city is getting ready for the Rugby World Cup
From Bath we drove through many stunning villages to
our final destination: The village of Castle Combe.
Set in deep valley, this idyllic and unspoilt village is often regarded
as the prettiest in the Cotswolds; it is easy to understand why that is.

Cars are not allowed in the village, as we walked
down we were taken
back by the beauty and quietness of the place.

In the centre of the village is the beautiful Church of St. Andrew's,
the Market Cross. There are also tea rooms, the Castle Inn
and craft shops to visit.
Castle Combe is a popular filming location, many scenes have been filmed:
The Steven Spielberg movie 'War Horse' and the Hollywood movie 'Wolfman',
the TV series Agatha Christie: Poirot and also Doctor Dolittle.
