World Tourism Day: 27 Sep2015

We all like to travel and every time we do, it has a purpose. We travel to visit family and friends, for business, or sometime we travel just to travel. 

The 27 September is World Tourism Day. What is World Tourism Day?

The event on that Day is to raise awareness of the impact that tourism has on countries all over the world.

Whenever we travel, we are part of a movement. The travel industry has the power to create job, to empower, to teach and to develop sustainable societies for the next generation

Tourism is a growing sector with an estimated 1.8 billion international tourists by the year 2030 everyone has to benefit from it.

In his World Tourism Day message, the UNWTO Secretary General, Taleb Rifai said: “Every time we travel we are part of a global movement that has the power to drive inclusive development, to create jobs and to build the sustainable societies we want for our future.”
